Dhaka, Oct 22 (UNB) - 17-year-old spinner Nayeem Hasan set his career-best figure by picking up eight wickets in an innings in the first-class National Cricket League (NCL) at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar on Monday.
Nayeem playing for Chattogram Division conceded 106 runs in 35 overs for-eight when he was in the 4th round of the 20th NCL in a Tier 2 match restricting Dhaka Division at 288/10 in 88 overs in the 1st innings on day one.
However, Chattogram will open the 1st innings on Tuesday.
The youngster Nayeem got Abdul Mazid , Raqibul Hasan, Shuvagata Hom , Taibur Rahman, skipper Nadif Chowdhury, Mosharraf Hossain, Shahadat Hossain  and Salauddin Sakil to complete the mission.
Nayeem, who captured nine wickets (3/74 and 6/119) in the two innings of the 3rd round match against Dhaka Metro, made his first class debut against Sylhet Division in the 19th NCL in January 2017.
Nayeem, however, got a call for the national side in a Test against Sri Lanka in January 2018, but did not get chance in best XI.
