It was their sixth win on the trot.
In the other match of the day, Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity beat Uttara Sporting Club by 39 runs in Fatullah, to register their second win of the season.
Rupganj won the toss in Savar and sent Sheikh Jamal to bat first. They tumbled for 141 as Rupganj bowlers bowled superbly.
Tanbir Hyder (35) made the highest individual score for Sheikh Jamal. Fardeen Hasan was the second-highest scorer with 28.
For Rupganj, spinner Nabil Samad and all-rounder Muktar Ali bagged three wickets each. Subashis Roy, Mohammad Shahid and Rishi Dhawan took one wicket each.
In reply, Mohammad Naim and Mominul Haque hit fifties for Rupganj and won the game with eight wickets in hand. They scored 145/2 in 28.4 overs.
Naim fell for 63 but Mominul remained on 60.
It was the eighth win of Rupganj in nine rounds of the league while Sheikh Jamal suffered the fifth loss of the season.
In the other match, Uttara won the toss and sent Khelaghar to bat first. Khelaghar posted a challenging total of 257 runs for four wickets in 50 overs.
Mahidul Islam Ankon hit 77 off 80 balls with seven fours and one six while wicketkeeper-batsman Shahriar Komol also hit 56 with seven fours.
Along with them, Robiul Islam Robi (38) and captain Amin Majumder (40) also contributed with the bat.
For Uttara, Sheikh Humayun and Mohimenul Haque bagged two wickets each.
In reply, Uttara managed to score 218 for eight wickets in 50 overs. Mohimenul Haque, who missed a century, was the only Uttara batsman to shine in the game. But his superb 93-run knock could not prevent his side’s loss.
It was Uttara’s seventh loss of the season.
For Khelaghar, Robiul Haque, Robiul Islam Robi and Tanvir Islam bagged two wickets each.
