Sent in to bat first, the Titans started the innings on a high note as their two openers -- Brendan Taylor and Junaid Siddique -- contributed 73 runs in the opening stand.
Taylor struck 48 off 31 with four fours and two sixes while Junaid hit 33 off 23 deliveries with six fours to his credit.
The Titans lost the first wicket when Junaid gave a return catch to Alok Kapali. The veteran bowler did not miss it. After adding three runs, they lost Al-Amin to Mohammad Nawaz, who was playing his first match in the BPL.
After that, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, the left-handed batsman, fell for 17 off 13 balls. The Titans suffered serious trouble during the middle as they lost four wickets from 11th to 14.1 over.
Mahmudullah (3) and Ariful Haque (0) disappointed the fans against after Taylor’s 48. In the end, Davie Wiese, who came to bat at number seven, helped the Titans past the 150-run mark scoring 38 off 25 balls with two fours and as many as sixes.
Alok Kapali, the right-arm leg spinner, took four wickets for the Sixers conceding 22 runs in four overs while Taskin Ahmed and Mohammad Nawaz took two wickets each for them.
