Police on Sunday arrested a boy aged 12 for allegedly raping a female child in his neighborhood in Madhabpasha area of Bandar in Narayanganj.

Officer-in-Charge of Bandar Police Station Fakhruddin Bhuiyan said the boy, a Madrasa student, lured the victim into an empty house in Madhabpasha area on Saturday morning and raped her.

The fifth-grader was arrested after the victim's father filed a case over the matter on Sunday, the OC said.

The victim was sent to hospital for medical test, OC said.
