Messe Frankfurt organised Ambiente Frankfurt on February 7-11, 2020.
It recorded around 4,500 exhibitors from 92 countries while over 1, 36,000 buyers came to the fair, said a press release.
Major products were ceramics, handicrafts, decorative items & kitchen accessories.
Bangladeshi stalls were seen busy with trade inquiries and buyers from USA, Spain, Turkey, France and other European and Central Asian countries.
The companies of Bangladesh --Paragon Ceramic, Shinepukur, Peoples Ceramic, Monno Ceramic, FARR Ceramics, San Trade, RFL Plastics have their private stands while Prokritee, Saidpur Enterprises, Artisan house, Asix BD and Aranya Crafts participated under the Export Promotion Bureau pavilion.
Rasheed Mymunul Islam, Managing Director of Monno Ceramic Industries was very happy with the edition and said “We exhibit in Ambiente every year since 1988. From our humble beginnings in Hall 10 where we started as a small company exhibiting in the Bangladesh Pavilion, we have become a global brand now exhibiting in the prestigious Hall 4.2. Ambiente is the perfect place to showcase our new products and designs to customers from around the globe”.
“Thousands of customers visit the show every year. We believe we will be able to cater to a more premium market segment this year as we are now located in a prestigious hall,” he added.
Ananda from CORR said, “It is a very fruitful event for us as well as to find out new buyers. As a result, our export has been increasing by 10 to 15 percent each year.”
Lokman Hossain Miah, Secretary of the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, Mohammad Abul Kalam, Additional Secretary of the ministry, Md Rashed Ul Karim Munna, MD of Creation Private Limited, MA Hashem, Sr. General Manager of Protik Ceramic, Mahbubur Rahman, Head of sales & Marketing of FARR Ceramics Limited and Md Saiful Islam, Bangladeshi Commercial Counselor in Germany visited the event.
The next Ambiente will be held in 2021. Ambiente will also be held in India in March 2020.
