The book, written by Bangladesh Online Activists' Forum (BOAF)Information and Research Secretary Momtazul Ferdous Joarder, was unveiled at Jatiya Press Club with the presence of social activists, writers, academicians and members of BOAF.
Speakers lauded the writer's effort in collecting the facts presented in the book and marked it as an important entry for the young generation to know about the March 7 speech.
Researcher and historian Prof Syed Anwar Hossain said the uniqueness of March 7 speech by Bangabandhu is that it was spontaneous and short yet most memorable.
Eminent columnist Syed Abul Maksud said there will never be another public meeting of that scale in Bangladesh.
“Nothing can match Bangabandhu’s voice and the role the speech played...this is the best speech of a thousand years,” he said.
Vice-chancellor of the World University of Bangladesh Dr Abdul Mannan Chowdhury suggested that March 7 should be observed as the national unity day.
BOAF President Kabir Chowdhury Tonmoy, Former Supreme Court Justice AHM Shamsuddin Choudhury Manik and writer Bakhtiar Chowdhury were also present at the unveiling.
