A seven-member delegation of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Bangladesh, led by its President Mahbubur Rahman, met President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Wednesday.
At the meeting, Mahbubur Rahman informed the President about the activities of the ICC Bangladesh.
He invited Abdul Hamid to attend a programme to be organised to celebrate the founding centenary of ICC and the silver jubilee of ICC Bangladesh this year.
The President said trade and investment are the main tool for socioeconomic development of the country. “The role of different chambers, including ICC, to develop trade and commerce in the country is very important,” he said.
He also urged the delegation to take initiatives to create new entrepreneurs and new avenues of trade and commerce.
