The vice Chancellor of National University on Sunday urged mess owners to be considerate in charging rent from students studying in colleges affiliated to National University.
In a press release on Sunday, Professor Harun-or-Rashid, the vice-chancellor, said that most of the students who are tenants of the messes are currently staying home due to the Covid-19 situation.
“Currently, Covid-19 has emerged as a major threat to the existence of mankind in Bangladesh and around the world. The number of deaths is increasing every day. A frightening situation is prevailing among the entire population of the country. Considering the situation, the government is making every effort.”
