District and Sessions Judge Md Asaduzzaman passed the order after a four-hour hearing.
Thirty lawyers, including Ain o Salish Kendra’s advocate Abdur Rashid, Advocate Nina Goshwami, and advocate Shahida Talukder of Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust, stood for Minni.
Thirty other lawyers represented the state, said Public Prosecutor Advocate Bhuban Chandra Hawlader.
The Court summoned investigating officer Inspector Md Humayun Kabir at 1pm after the first phase of the hearing. It rejected Minni’s petition at 3:05pm after the second phase of hearing.
Minni, arrested on July 16, was first denied bail by Barguna Senior Judicial Magistrate Sirajul Islam Gazi on July 21. Two days later, the court fixed July 30 for the hearing her repeated bail petition.
Her husband Rifat Sharif, 22, was attacked with sharp weapons near the main gate of Barguna Government College on June 26. She appeared to be trying to protect him during the attack.
Police have so far arrested 16 people over the murder. Besides, main accused Sabbir Ahmed alias Nayon Bond was killed in a reported gunfight with law enforcers on July 2.
Minni reportedly confessed to her involvement in the murder before the court on July 19, two days after her arrest.
Her father Mozammel Hossain met her in jail on July 20 and alleged that she had been forced to confess and accused a vested group of trying to divert the course of the case.
