The other members of the team are – Senior UNFPA Advisor Dr Syed Abu Jafar Md Musa and Program Analyst Farida Begum.
They exchanged views on strengthening cooperation and undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programmes.
UNFPA team members expressed their willingness to work with DU, especially its Population Sciences Department, Women and Gender Studies Department, and Institute of Health Economics. They sought cooperation from DU VC.
Prof Akhtaruzzaman told the UNFPA team members to come forward with a specific proposal to sign a MoU between DU and UNFPA. Under this MoU, UNFPA will provide support to DU students to pursue their MA and PhD programmes in Sweden.
The DU VC thanked UNFPA team members for their visit and willingness to work together with the university.
