Dhaka, Jan 11 (UNB) - Healthy Heart Happy Life Organization (HELO) on Friday distributed warm clothes among 700 cold-hit poor people in Raumari upazila of Kurigram.
HELO members distributed blankets, jackets and sweaters among the poor people at the Baitkamari Govt Primary School field, said a press release.
HELO General Secretary Dr Asifur Rahman Sazal said they have also taken a permanent charity and health awareness programme in Raumari.
Meanwhile, HELO organised a meeting on health awareness and prevention of heart disease at Raumari Health Complex on Thursday.
Advocate ARM Kaiyum Khan presided over the meeting while Dr Mohsin Ahmed and Dr Ariful Rahman attended it as discussants. Locals participated in the programme.
Dr Md Mominul Islam Humayun of the health complex was also present, said the press release.
HELO is a non-government, voluntary, no-political and unprofitable organisation which is working among the people with the slogan “Awareness for humanity, charity and research”.
The organisation is mainly playing a role in human development by providing awareness, research and necessary services on various issues of the society.
