“BNP leaders completely failed in the election as they remained isolated from the people during the election. They’d expected the interference of an invisible power to create an abnormal atmosphere,” he said while exchanging views with reporters and party leaders at the Shaheed Col Taher Auditorium.
Inu, also Jatiya Samajtanrik Dal president, added: “They’ve now lodging imaginary complaints to the Election Commission to save their backs.”
He also said it is BNP’s old ‘bad’ habit to reject the results after its defeat in any election. “They (BNP) even rejected the results after they lost the election held under the caretaker government,” he said.
Claiming that the Sheikh Hasina government is a journalist-friendly one, the minister urged newsmen to work without any fear and bring it to the notice of the Information Ministry if any of them faces any threat.
