Cumilla arson case: Khaleda’s bail hearing Sep 12
Cumilla, Aug 30 (UNB) – A court here on Thursday fixed September 12 to hear the bail petition of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in a case filed for torching a covered van in Chouddagram upazila in 2015.
Comilla District and Session Judge's Court Judge KM Shamsul Alam passed the order after public prosecutor Mostafizur Rahman filed the time petition.
Earlier on August 20, the court set for Thursday to hear the bail petition.
On January 25 in 2015, a covered van was torched at Haldarpur area in Municipality of Chouddagram upazila.
Later on the next day, Sub-inspector Nuruzzaman Hawladar of Chouddagram Police Station filed a case against BNP chairperson and 32 local BNP leaders in this connection.
