Houses, shops gutted in separate fire incidents in Gazipur
Gazipur, Apr 1 (UNB) –At least three houses, five shops and a sweater factory were gutted in separate fire incidents in the district from Sunday night to early Monday.
DNCC investigates Gulshan kitchen market fire
Dhaka, March 30 (UNB) – The authorities of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on Saturday constituted a probe committee headed by its chief engineer to investigate the fire incident that gutted 221 shops of the DNCC kitchen market in Gulshan area.

Dhaka, Mar 30 (UNB) – Dhaka, Mar 30 (UNB) – Just two days after a major fire in the city’s Banani area left 25 people dead, another fire broke out at Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) kitchen market in Gulshan area early Saturday and gutted all the 211 shops of the market.
The fire broke out around 5:45 am and was brought under control after two and a half hours of hectic efforts by firefighters.
On information, 20 fire-fighting units rushed in and brought the fire under control around 8:25 am, said Khurshid Anwar, a senior station officer of fire service and civil defence.
Banani fire survivors narrate tales of horror

Exhausted and terrified, Hasina Parvin, Credit Control Manager of Aamra Networks Limited, housed on the 17th floor of the 22-storey Faruk Rupayan (FR) Tower in the capital's Kemal Ataturk Avenue, said this while narrating her harrowing experience of Thursday’s devastating fire incident that left 25 people dead.
The 39-year-old mother of two daughters escaped the horrific fire that broke out on the 6th floor of the building around 12:45 pm.

FR Tower: Victims either suffocated or fell to their deaths
