Dengue death toll in Bangladesh crosses 200
With three more deaths reported in 24 hours till Sunday morning, this year’s fatalities from Dengue climbed to 202.
During this period, 859 patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Among the latest deaths, two were reported from Barishal and another was reported from Chattogram , taking the death toll in these two divisions to nine and 51, respectively.
Meanwhile death toll remained unchanged at 121 in Dhaka, 10 in Khulna , six in Rajshahi, five in Mymensingh divisions.

Of the new patients, 426 were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 433 outside it, according to the DGHS.
A total of 3,189 dengue patients, including 1,885 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
The directorate has recorded 48,529 dengue cases and 45, 138 recoveries so far this year.
This year’s fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease reached 182 on Tuesday, exceeding all previous records in Bangladesh.

Earlier the country recorded the highest 179 deaths from Dengue in a year in 2019.
Dengue death toll in Bangladesh reaches 182, surpassing previous record
With five more deaths reported in 24 hours till Tuesday morning this year’s fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease Dengue reached 182, exceeding all previous records in Bangladesh.
Earlier the country recorded the highest 179 deaths from Dengue in a year in 2019.
In the first week of November, already 41 people died from Dengue while 6,778 were hospitalised.
During last 24 hours, 820 patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The gradual increase in dengue infections has created panic among the residents of Dhaka city.
Hospitals are failing to cope with the pressure of dengue patients despite setting up new wards.
Doctors and health experts say that measures taken by the city corporations and other authorities are not proving to be effective. The publicity and drives carried out by the authorities to destroy larvae of Aedes mosquito, the carrier of the dengue virus, are appearing to be inadequate.
All the latest deaths were reported from Dhaka raising the death toll in the division to 109
Of the new patients, 450 were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 370 outside it, according to the DGHS.
A total of 3,223 dengue patients, including 1,947 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
The directorate has recorded 44,802 dengue cases and 41, 397 recoveries so far this year.

On Thursday, the country reported nine dengue deaths, the highest death toll from dengue in a day this year.

During the period, 899 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever as cases keep rising, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Two deaths were reported from Rajshahi while another was from Chattogram raising the death toll in Chattogram to 37.
The dengue death toll remained unchanged at 72 in Dhaka, five in Barishal, at four in Khulna and at three in Mymensingh division.
Of the new patients, 491 were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 408 outside it, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
A total of 3,480 dengue patients, including 2,250 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
The directorate has recorded 34,822 dengue cases and 31,219 recoveries so far this year.
Dengue death toll rises to 37 as four more die
Four more Dengue patients died in 24 hours till Monday morning, raising this year’s death toll from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh to 37.
During this period, 345 more people were hospitalised with the viral fever as cases have continued to increase in Bangladesh, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
All the latest deaths were reported from Dhaka.

With the new numbers, the dengue death toll from Dhaka division rose to 17, in Chattogram it stood at 17, and three at Barishal division.
Of the new patients, 228 were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 117 outside it, DGHS said.
A total of 1,112 dengue patients, including 853 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

This year, the directorate has recorded 9,095 dengue cases and 7,946 recoveries so far.
Dengue death toll rises to 26 as three more die
Three more Dengue patients died in 24 hours till Monday morning, raising this year’s death toll from the mosquito-borne disease to 26.
During this period, 208 more people were hospitalised with the viral fever as cases have continued to increase in Bangladesh, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The latest deaths were reported from Dhaka, Cox's Bazar and Barishal divisions. With the new numbers, the dengue death toll from Cox’s Bazar stood at 14 while it raised to 11 in Dhaka.
Of the new patients, 157 were admitted to the hospitals of Dhaka and 51 outside it, DGHS said.
A total of 806 dengue patients, including 674 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

This year, the directorate has recorded 7,113 dengue cases and 6,281 recoveries so far.
90 more dengue cases reported
Ninety more people were hospitalised with dengue – a viral infection – in the 24 hours to Friday morning.
Of them, 71 were admitted to the hospitals of Dhaka and 19 outside it, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Seven hundred and seventy-six dengue patients, including 652 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

This year's death toll from the mosquito-borne viral disease rose to 22 Thursday with one more death reported from Cox's Bazar. Of all the deceased, 12 were from Cox's Bazar and 10 from Dhaka.

Dengue claims another life, death toll rises to 20
One more person died from dengue in the 24 hours until Monday morning raising this year’s death toll from the mosquito-borne disease to 20, health authorities said on Monday.
During this period 201 people were hospitalised with the viral fever as cases have continued to increase in Bangladesh, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The latest death was reported from Cox's Bazar, where the dengue death toll stood at 11. Nine other fatalities were from Dhaka.

Another 176 people were hospitalised with dengue – a viral infection – in the 24 hours till Sunday morning.
Of them, 144 were admitted to the hospitals of Dhaka and 32 outside it, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
As many as 613 dengue patients, including 507 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

Among them, 134 patients were hospitalised in Dhaka while 46 in other places, it said.
As many as 572 dengue patients, including 467 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

Dengue death toll rises to 18 with another death
Another dengue patient died and 116 others were hospitalised in 24 hours till Saturday morning.
The latest death was reported from Dhaka.
With this, the authorities recorded 18 deaths from the viral infection this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Among the deaths this year, 10 were reported from Cox’s Bazar while eight from Dhaka.

A total of 430 dengue patients, including 364 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
