The aspirants can collect the nomination form from 10am to 5pm on September 2-4 from AL president’s Dhanmondi political office in the city.
The aspirants can submit the nomination form at the same office by 5pm on September 5, said an AL release signed by its office secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap, MP.
The Election Commission on Sunday announced the by-polls schedule for the Rangpur-3 that fell vacant following the death of Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad on July 14.
As per the schedule, the deadline for submission of nomination papers is September 9 while the date for scrutinising those is September 11 and the last date of withdrawal of candidature is September 16.
The same release also said Awami League presidium members will sit in a meeting on Tuesday next (Sept 3).
The meeting will be held 5pm on the day at the AL president Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi political office.
AL general secretary and also Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader urged all concerned to join the meeting in time.
