A Bell-212 helicopter of Bangladesh Air force made an emergency landing near Bolipara helipad of Rajasthali camp in Rangamati district on Sunday morning.
However, all the crew, including its two pilots, are safe and unhurt, said Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) Director Lt Col Abdullah Ibne Jayed.
The incident took place around 11:05 am when the helicopter was on its way to Bolipara from Kaptai on completion of its emergency supply mission of the Bangladesh Army.
With the skilled handling by the pilots, the helicopter was able to make an emergency landing, some 200 yards off Bolipara helipad of the Rajasthali camp by avoiding the crowded area, without causing any damage to the public.
The director of the ISPR directorate said the crew members of the helicopter, including its two pilots-- Squadron Leader Adnan and Flight Lieutenant Shaheed-- are safe and secure.
