Six shops were gutted by a fire in Hajiganj upazila of Chandpur district on Monday night, leaving 10 people injured.
The fire broke out at a shop of Dhodda Khalpar Bazar.
Being informed, firemen rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after one and half an hours.
Siddiqur Rahman, senior station officer of Hajiganj Fire Service, said the fire originated from an electric short circuit.

He said they together with locals brought the fire under control.
Ten people were also injured while to put out blaze.
