This is further support for Unicef from the Bangladesh Cricket team who in December 2018 entered a two-year partnership agreement which is at the centre of Unicef sports activation plan – launched to encourage adolescent boys and girls to play cricket, said a media release on Friday.
The agreement includes the world-famous Unicef logo appearing on the shirts of the Bangladesh cricket team.
The activity forms part of the wider #OneDay4Children campaign which is using the power and reach of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 to help children learn, play and be healthy.
The money raised will support Unicef’s work for children in cricket playing nations across the world.
On June 4, the ICC, in partnership with Unicef, held an event for local school children at The Kia Oval to meet players from the Bangladesh cricket team.
Players including Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan hosted a Q&A session with the children and spent time at a Coaching Clinic sharing their cricket skills.

The tournament-wide #OneDay4Children campaign- will climax at the England v India game at Edgbaston on June 30 where fans will be treated to a Men’s Cricket World Cup match like no other.
Here Edgbaston will turn light blue in support of Unicef and a range of other entertainment and activations will be delivered to raise critical funds.
