Chattogram, Oct 25 (UNB) – Detectives in a drive arrested two young men along with 20,000 Yaba tablets from Bridgeghat Firingibazar area of the city on Wednesday night.
The arrestees were identified as Abdur Rahim Swapon, 30, son of late Majol Houqe, hailing from Feni and Sohel, 32, son of Fazlul Haque, hailing from Narayanganj.
On information, a team of Detective Branch of police conducted the drive beside BIWTA office in the area under Kotwali Police Station around 11:45pm and seized a mini truck with the Yaba, said Mohammal Shahidullah, deputy police commissioner of DB (port) of Chattogram Metropolitan Police.
Later, they arrested Swapon and Fazlul in connection with recovery.
