“It was put on hold for the month of mourning. We’ll start taking punitive measures from September 8. They’ll be show-caused first,” Quader told the media at the party chief’s Dhanmondi office in the afternoon.
He said the party will also resume organisational visits to different areas of the country after the working committee meeting on September 14.
The parliamentary selection board of the party will meet on September 7. It will discuss by-election to Rangpur-3, he said.
About the Assam issue, the ruling party general secretary said: “The Indian government has assured us that the NRC issue in Assam is their internal matter. So we shouldn’t be worried.”
