Three more people tested positive for the Coronavirus, or Covid-19, in Cumilla in the last 24 hours as of Sunday, taking the total number to 35 in the district.

Confirming the new infections, Civil Surgeon Dr Neyatuzzaman said two of them are from Burichang upazila and the other is from Daudkandi.

The driver of an official at the Burichang Health Complex is one of the three new cases, he added.

A total of 593 samples were sent to the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), the central testing authority in Dhaka, out of which 475 reports were in. 

As of Sunday, Bangladesh has so far reported 91 deaths and 2,456 cases of coronavirus.
