According to reports reaching the UNB news desk, two each died in Khulna, Shariatpur and Bagehrat districts and while one each in Barguna Patuakhali and Barishal districts.
Besides, three other people died of cardiac arrest in Patuakhali, Satkhira and Barguna districts.
In Shariatpur, Alibox Soial, 68, of Deujuri in Nariaupazila was killed when a tree branch collapsed on him on Sunday afternoon during the storm, said deputy commissioner of the district Kazi Abu Taher on Monday.
In another incident, Aleya Begum, 45, wife of Ali Azgar of Sidhulkura village in Damudya upazila was killed after a tree branch fell on her on Sunday, he said.
In Barguna, Maulana Mahibullah, 40, of Lobongola village in Sadar upazila, was killed when a tree crashed on him while cutting it after the cyclone on Sunday afternoon.
Barguna deputy commissioner Mostain Billah at a press briefing at his office on Sunday said two people were killed and 17 others injured during the cyclonic storm.
Besides, 15 fishermen went missing in the Bay of Bengal, he said.
He also said some 98,639 hectares of Aman crops and 550 hectares of Robi crops were damaged while 5,235 dwelling houses, 86 educational institutions were partly damaged by the storm.
The cyclonic storm, which turned into ‘severe’ from ‘very severe’ on Saturday night, completed crossing the West Bengal-Khulna coast near the Sundarbans around 5am on Sunday and then weakened further into a deep depression.
The cyclone uprooted trees, damaged dwellings and croplands in different coastal districts, including Patuakhali, Bhola and Satkhira and Khulna.
