The HC bench of Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed and Justice Iqbal Kabir passed the order after the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) submitted its report mentioning that there was no harmful object in the milk of 14 brands.
The court also fixed July 7 for the next hearing over the matter.
BSTI lawyer Sardar MR Hasan was asked to submit the DU Research Centre report that had tested samples of Pran Milk, MilK Vita, Igloo, Igloo Chocolate, Igloo Mango, Aarong and Farm Fresh.
At a press conference on June 25, Director of the DU Centre for Biomedical Research Prof ABM Faroque published the report that found traces of detergent and antibiotics.
However, DU Pharmacy Department in a media statement on Friday said it would not take the responsibility for the research findings.
Meanwhile, testing 18 samples of pasteurised milk produced by 14 companies, BSTI filed an affidavit with the HC on June 25 for submitting their report that had found no trace of harmful element in the milk.
The brands were Pura, Ayran, Arong, Farm Fresh, Milk Vita, Aftab, Ultra, Tanya, Igloo, Pran, Dairy Fresh, Milk Fresh, Cowhead.
The matter came to the fore after a newspaper published a report on May 17, 2018 claiming that 75 percent pasteurised milk is unsafe.
On May 20 of the year, a writ petition was filed by lawyer Tanvir Ahmed with the High Court.
Later, the HC ordered an experts’ team constituted by the Food Ministry to submit a report after testing all the pasteurised milk brands.
