Eight upazila offices of the organisation took part in the development fair and won prizes for providing electricity services in the district, said a press release issued on Saturday.
The government organised three-day event in the capital and in all the districts and upazila headquarters across the country with the slogan “Indomitable Bangladesh in March towards Development”.
It aims at showcasing the government's development activities.
Expressing satisfaction over the achievement, Md Abu Bakar Siddiki, general manager of Chattogram Palli Biddut Samiti-1, said they have changed a total of 300 overloaded transformers to ensure uninterrupted electricity which made it possible.
“Our teams are also performing right off way (cutting trees in the ways) on regular basis,” he said.
Around 4.5 lakhs subscribers are consuming electricity under the Samity (association), he added.
