A special flight of Biman, carrying the President, took off from Palam Airport at 2:10pm (IST) and landed at Hazrat Shahajal International Airport at around 5pm.
High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India Syed Muazzem Ali, senior civil and military officials came to see off the President at the airport.
Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Kamal, chiefs of the three services, the dean of the diplomatic corps and senior civil and military officials welcomed the President at the Dhaka airport.
During his stay, the President met Modi on the final day of his tour at Hydrabad House of New Delhi and discussed various issues. Teesta water sharing and Rohingya issues also came up during discussion.
President Hamid went to Delhi on Wednesday, a day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi took oath at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Around 8000 guests and leaders of Bimstec member countries also joined the oath-taking ceremony.
