The government has appointed Engineer Sayeed Ahmed as the new chairman of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB).
Engineer Sayeed, who replaced Engineer Khaled Mahmud, started his job in the BPDB as an assistant engineer on January 10 in 1984, said a press release on Tuesday.
Prior to his new position, he was serving as a member of the BPDB.
Sayeed Ahmed was born in Rangpur district on February 1 in 1961. He joined the BPDB after obtaining BSC engineering degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) in 1982.
During his long carrier, Sayeed also served the BPDB in different capacities, including project director of Barapukuria coal power plant and chief engineer (private power generation).
