Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations) Air Vice Marshal M Abul Bashar formally declared the successful end of the exercise.
In his address at the closing ceremony, he highlighted the significance of the exercise and thanked all the participating members from both Bangladesh Air Force and US Pacific Air Force as well as high officials of the local administration, NGOs and all concerned, said an ISPR release.
Air Vice Marshal M Abul Bashar also emphasised on bolstering existing excellent ties between Bangladesh and the USA and appreciated US Pacific Air Force for its wholehearted participation in the exercise.
He expressed the hope that the exercise will enhance mutual cooperation between military and civil organisations as well as strengthen friendly relations between the armed forces of both the countries.
On behalf of US Pacific Air Force, Brigadier General Mark Crosby thanked Bangladesh Air Force and all others concerned for their wholehearted cooperation to conduct the exercise.
He also hoped that this type of exercise will be conducted regularly in the future.
Air Commodore Mohammed Khair Ul Afsar, Director of Air Operation, Deputy Commissioner of Lalmonirhat and other senior officers from BAF and US Pacific Air Force spoke on the occasion.
During the exercise that began on June 23, a large number of people living adjacent to the BAF Maintenance and Care Unit, Lalmonirhat were provided with free medical treatment while five selected schools of that area were renovated and repaired jointly by US Pacific Air Force and BAF engineering teams.
A total of 130 BAF members under the command of Group Captain Abbas Ali and 60 from the US Pacific Air Force under the command of Major Kristoffer Glenn Pfalmer along with six doctors from Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand took part in the exercise.
US Ambassador in Bangladesh Earl Robert Miller visited the exercise on June 24.
A cultural programme was also arranged with the participation of artists from both Bangladesh Air Force and US Pacific Air Force at the end.
