Sirajganj, Oct 26 (UNB) - A septuagenarian man has been killed after being hit with a stick allegedly by his son at Nagura Binod village in Tarash upazila on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Osman Ali Pramanik, 70, of the village.
Mustafizur Rahman, officer in-charge of Tarash Police Station, said Faruque Pramanik, the only son of Osman who was practising law with a Sirajganj court as an intern, had a brawl with his father on Thursday night over family affairs.
At one stage, Faruque hit Osman in the head with a stick, leaving him critically injured.
The injured was first taken to Tarash Upazila Health Complex and later shifted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogura where he died on Friday morning, the OC added.
