“There’re some vested quarters in our society who are misguiding students in various ways. So, you (students) have to remain alert about them, too,” he said while addressing a function marking the distribution of awards among GPA-5 obtainers in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination.
Bishwabiddalaya Porikroma, a monthly magazine, arranged the programme at the GPO auditorium.
Mannan reminded students that being honest and humane is more important than obtaining GPA-5 in an examination. “You (students) have to save yourselves as your parents won’t be by you all the time. Be honest and think more about the country.”
Planning Secretary Md Nurul Amin said he had dreamt of being a magistrate and secretary during his student life and he had succeeded as well. “Make a good dream and study accordingly to fulfill it.”
Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU) President Rafiqul Islam Azad and Bishwabiddalaya Porikroma Chief Editor Harun-Or-Rashid also spoke at the programme.
