A private diagnostic centre in Barishal town has been sealed off after it issued a pathology test report containing the signature of a dead physician.
Besides, a mobile court sentenced a physician and two owners of the health centre to six-month imprisonment.
The convicts are-- AK Chowdhury and Jashim Uddin Milon, owners of the Central Medical Services, and its physician Nur-e Sarwar Saikat.
Jiaur Rahman, an executive magistrate of deputy commissioner’s office, said they raided the diagnostic centre with Rab members around 8pm.
They found that a woman was provided with a pathology test report that contains the signature of a late physician. The signatory died on July 19 at a Dhaka hospital.
Besides, another physician mentioned some fake degrees on his prescription form, said the magistrate.
Later, the court handed down the punishment.
