Habiganj, Dec 21 (UNB) – Train services of Sylhet with Dhaka and other parts of the country remained suspended for six hours as a group of miscreants uprooted rail slipper at Shahpur Bazar in Madhabpur upazila on Friday.
Sub-inspector Sajibur Rahman of Shayestaganj Railway Police, said miscreants uprooted 22 inches long rail slipper near Shahpur Bazar point around 6 am, halting train movement.
On information, the official concerned of railways went to the spot and repaired the tracks.
Mohammad Ullah, superintendent of Habiganj Police, said the BNP-Jamaat men might have carried out act of sabotage.
