As part of their initiative, they have already distributed relief goods among 122 people of 40 families in Thakurgaon, Taraganj upazil of Nilphamari, Sariakandi upazila in Bogura, Gangachara upazila in Rangpur, Ulipur upazila in Kurigram, Kaliganj in Satkhira and Sarishabari in Jamalpur, said a press release.

In the current week, relief goods will be distributed among 300 people of 60 families in 12 upazilas.
The relief goods contain 5kg rice, 2kg potatoes, 1.5kg pulse, 1 kg salt, and 1 kg oil.
Bangladesh has announced a general holiday to prevent the spread of coronavirus. It has shut down mass transport and all non-essential services and urged people to stay indoors.
People living from hand to mouth have been hit hard by the move. Many complained that they did not receive any food assistance.
Numerous well-off people and organisations have joined hands with the government to provide food aid to the people severely affected by the ongoing shutdown.
