Dhaka, Jun 28 (UNB)- Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has selected 15 cricketers aged under-12 from a talent hunt programme on Friday here at the Shahid Miraz-Tapan Stadium.
A total of 15 cricketers out of 35 were chosen in the final phase on the day from four groups-- Padma, Meghna, Jamuna and Buriganga.
Manikganj Deputy Commissioner S M Ferdous inaugurated the talent hunt programme with sub-committee convener of District Sports Association (DSA) Golam Sarwar Sanu in the chair.
BCB and Manikganj DSA jointly launched the talent hunt programme on June 22 aiming to find cricket talents from grassroots level.
Earlier, around 150 young cricketers from seven upazilas of the district took part in the preliminary phase of the carnival.
