Earlier, the Professional Football League Committee of Bangladesh Football Federation on Wednesday decided to start the 2nd phase of the league on Monday (May 6).
Meanwhile, the 2nd registration window for the players of BPL, which opened on April 21, completed last Thursday (May 2).
After the first phase matches on April 20, Bashundhara Kings comfortably dominated the league as the lone unbeaten team securing 34 points from 12 matches while defending champions Dhaka Abahani Limited followed them with 30 points from 12 encounters.
