Dhaka, June 23 (UNB) - Four young booters of Bangladesh will leave here for Brazil on Tuesday for a month-long higher training in the football crazy country.
The selected players -- Jogen Lorka (Rajshahi), Latifur Rahman Nahid (Rangpur), Omar Faruq Mithu (Kurigram) and Nazmul Akanda (Rangpur) -– will groom themselves at the CR Vasco da Gama Football Club of Rio de Janeiro.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell met the booters at the National Sports Council (NSC) on Sunday and wished them a success.
Earlier, the NSC selected them for the higher training in Brazil from initially chosen 20 footballers from two tournaments -- U-15 Development Cup and U-17 Bangabandhu Gold Cup -- after conducting a two-day final selection trial in November last year.
