Bangladesh national football team played out a goalless draw with upper ranked Afghanistan in the first match of the two-match FIFA Tier-1 International Friendly Football at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka on Sunday.
Bangladesh is playing the FIFA Friendly against their 32 ranked upper Afghanistan national side as a part of their preparation for the next month' s World Cup Qualifiers against the Maldives.
With this match, Bashundhara Kings Arena emerges as the country's new international football venue from a club ground.
The 2nd and last match between two teams will be held on September 7 at the same venue.
Chairman of the Bashundhara Group Ahmed Akbar Sobhan and BFF President Kazi M Salahuddin were present at the Kings Arena to witness the day's match at the new international venue alongside a good number of football fans.
This was the 6th draw between two teams in their nine overall international meetings.
