After the training session in Bangkok, Bangladesh will play their away match for joint qualifications against Laos on June 6 at 5:30pm (BST) at the National Stadium in Vientiane and will play their home match against the same team on June 11 at 7:00 pm at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka.
Bangladesh’s opponent in Tuesday’s practice match, the Air Force United FC, won prestigious Queen’s Cup and FA Cup in Thailand three times each, finished runners-up in the Thai Premier League twice within 13 years and clinched the Thai League-1 title twice.
However, the 82-year-old traditional Thai club were relegated from the Thai League-1 last year.
Ahead of the practice match, Bangladeshi booters passed a busy time on Monday having a two-hour hard training session of physical training, stretching, set piece practice, shooting, running with ball practices from 8am to 10am at Air Force football ground in Bangkok.
After the training session, the booters made swimming and recovery sessions at the hotel pool and in the afternoon they made their 3rd session at the gym from 4 pm.
All the players of the Bangladesh team are physically and mentally ready to play a good match on Tuesday after doing fantastic training in Bangkok under the supervision of the head coach, according to a message received here from Bangladesh Football Federation on Monday.
Head Coach Jamie Day said, “Tomorrow (Tuesday) we have a good match against Air Force Team of Thailand. Our boys have a good preparation. We’ll field all of our players in the match to watch their performance and as well as to prepare themselves for next match against Laos.”
Bangladesh captain Jamal Bhuiyan said, “So far, we have good practices here. Tomorrow’s match will be a very vital for all of our players. Hopefully we will play the best for winning the match against Air Force.”
In their second and last preparation match, Bangladesh will take on BG Pathum United FC at Leo Stadium in Thani on June 1.
The team will return home from Laos on June 7.
