With the 3rd consecutive victory, star-studded Bashundhara Kings topped the league table with all-win record securing full nine points from straight three matches while NoFel SC are yet to open the account playing two matches.
Local striker Motin Miah and Emon Mahmud scored one each for the Kings in the 22nd and 85th minute respectively in front of the crowd-packed stadium.
Motin Miah opened the Kings account in the 22nd minute off a pass from Kyrgyzstan booter Ikbol Bakhtiyar (1-0).
Emon Mahmud confirmed the Kings victory scoring the 2nd goal in the 85th minute by a long shot, capitalising on a Marcos Vinicius attempt which came his way from the goalmouth melee (2-0).
Earlier, FIFA World Cup playing Costa Rica booter Daniel Colindres spoiled two more good chances in the 29th and 37th minute respectively and Brazilian player Marcos Vinicius missed other opportunity in the 59th minute of the match.
Kamrul Islam of NoFel SC also missed a chance in the 64th minute.
After the match, Kings head coach Oscar Bruzon expressed satisfaction over the match results despite his players spoiled a good number of opportunities, and expected that his team will display better performances in the next match.
In the day’s other match at the Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh, Brothers Union Club forced traditional Dhaka Mohammedan SC to concede their 2nd successive defeat (1-0) in the league after suffering 1-4 goals defeat against their neighbour Arambagh KS in the previous match.
Jack Daniels scored the match-decider for the Gopibagh outfit in the 51st minute.
