At the end of the 2nd day of four-day affairs, BCB XI were leading by 386 runs scoring 500 runs in the first innings as Vidarbha CA managed 114 runs for one wicket in 30 overs.
Resuming the first innings with overnight total 303 for 2 on the 2nd day of the four-day affairs on Thursday, BCB XI declared the innings at 500 for 7 in 148 overs.
Mominul Haque, who was on batting with 157 runs, hammered the team highest 169 runs off 243 balls, featuring 22 fours and one six while another overnight batsman Nazmul Hossain Shanto (24) hits the 2nd ton for the visitors scoring 118 runs off 219 balls with 13 fours and three sixes.
Earlier on the first day (Wednesday), opener Jahurul Islam contributed a polished 96 runs helping BCB XI to a big total.
For Vidarbha CA, Darshan Nalkande took four wickets conceding 79 runs while Rajneesh Gurbani and Aditya Sarvate took one wicket each.
In reply, Vidarbha CA scored 114 runs for the loss of one wicket in 30 overs in the first innings to trail by 386 runs when the bails were drawn for the 2nd day (Thursday) with Sanjay Ramaswamy making 49 runs. Akshay Kolhar was on the crease with 62 runs off 101 balls.
Touring BCB XI will play their 2nd match against Dr DY Patil Cricket Academy beginning on July 16 while the 3rd and last match against KSCA Secretary XI from July 22 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
A total of 16 cricket teams – split into four groups – are taking part in the tournament.
Four group champions will enter the semifinals scheduled to start on July 28 at two separate venues – Alur -1 (Platinum Oval) and Alur-2 (Golden Oval) – while the final match will start from August 3 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
