Dhaka, March 29 (UNB) - The second season of the ‘Wings Uni Futsal’ 2019 competition, powered by Hero, will begin at Shaheed Suhrawardi National Indoor Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday (March 31).
State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Hasan Russell MP will formally inaugurate the five-day event in the morning.
Thirty-two renowned public and private universities of the country will initially compete with each other in the first round group matches. Later 16 teams will compete in the round of sixteen.
The quarterfinals, semifinals and final will be held on April 4 at the same venue.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the meet.
The 64-match tournament is being organized by Wings Clear Lemon Drinks, a concern of Sajeeb Group, along with Hero Motorcycle, a concern of Niloy Motors, and Walton.
