The last and final phase of polling began in India's eastern state of Jharkhand on Friday, with around 4 million eligible voters to choose their lawmakers for the next five years.
There are 16 Assembly constituencies in the state going to polls.
Jharkhand, a sensitive state in terms of security due to the presence of armed rebels Naxals, went through a five-phased polling process. Results of all the 81 Assembly constituencies would be declared on Dec. 23.
The country's main ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) currently runs an alliance government in the state.
In India's parliamentary democracy, every state goes to polls after every five years.
