Benapole, Sept 20 (UNB) – Bangladesh Police has imported 20 trained horses from India for using those in its headquarters in Dhaka.
The horses reached Bangladesh through Benapole land port on Thursday morning.
Masud Karim, officer-in-charge of Benapole Port Police Station, said the horses were imported at a cost of US$ 179,200.
Indian Pritam Singh Thandu and Sons Pvt Ltd provided the horses.
Benapole Customs House Commissioner Belal Chowdhury said on completion of all formalities, the horses started for Savar where they will be kept at a dairy farm.
