Shibganj upazila administration fined 53 people in different areas for roaming the streets violating the restrictions to prevent coronavirus from Thursday morning to noon.

Shimul Akhter, Shibganj upazila nirbahi officer said  they were fined as they came out of home defying the restrictions imposed to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Meanwhile, in Sadar upazila police detained 25 people for defying restrictions, said Ziaur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.

They also seized around one hundred vehicles, he added.
