Naogaon, Oct 28 (UNB) – Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Sunday said no one will be allowed to create an anarchic situation in the country over the upcoming general election as law enforcement agencies are on alert.
“Law enforcement agencies are on vigil so that there’s no destructive situation like the one of 2014 to foil the election. I don’t believe that kind of situation will repeat this time,” he said while laying the foundation stone of a new building of Patnitala Police Station.
Replying to a query about the ongoing transport strike, the minister said the problem will be resolved soon through talks. “The striking federations of transport owners and workers have been invited to a meeting,” he said.
Later, Asaduzzaman attended a rally organised by the Patnitala upazila unit of Awami League in the afternoon.
Addressing the rally, he urged people to elect the Sheikh Hasina government again to continue the country’s development trend.
