The Election Commission already deployed additional law enforcers and magistrates – both executive and judicial ones—in the election areas for five days since Tuesday.

A 14-member security team comprising of Ansar and Police men will be deployed to ensure security for each normal polling station, while a 16-member security team will provide security to each important (vulnerable) polling station.
In case of Chattogram Hill Tracts area, a 15-member security will guard each normal polling station, while 17-member security group will provide security to each vulnerable polling station.
The six UPs which are going to the regular elections are Kuti union at Kasba upazila in Brahmanbaria, Faridganj Dakkhin at Faridganj upazila in Chandpur, Puthia and Jeopara at Puthia upazila in Rajshahi, and Daulatdia and Debgram at Goalanda in Rajbari district.
Apart from the UPs, Kanchan municipality in Narayanganj will go to the regular polls on Thursday.
The Election Commission has decided to use the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in the six UPs and Kanchan municipality.
