The event was part of the EU's policy, adopted in 2016, to encourage cultural cooperation between the EU and its partner countries.
Through this event, the EU Delegation to Bangladesh also paid respect to the work of the national poet of Bangladesh.
Singer Shushmita Anis, who learned music from the legendary singer late Firoza Begum, presented a wide array of famous pieces of Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam for a select group of audience comprising local politicians, diplomats stationed in Bangladesh, as well as Bangladeshi music connoisseurs.
The audience highly appreciated the performance of Anis.
The European Union deems that intercultural dialogue can build and promote understanding within and between societies, said a press release on Monday.
It also helps promote a global order based on peace, the rule of law, freedom of expression, mutual understanding and respect for fundamental values.
