Narayanganj, Apr 10 (UNB) – Police on Wednesday recovered the buried body of a jute trader from Jute Gowdown in Fatulla’s Bholai area, ten days on from his murder on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Kamruzzaman Chowdhury alias Selim, 52, of the area who remained missing for last ten-day.
Sub-inspector Mamun-Al-Jabed of Fatualla Police Station said the jute trader Selim went missing on last March 31. Following his missing incident, his wife Rekha Akhter filed a general diary with the police station on Apr 6.
Police arrested his staff Faisal of Kanainagar area here in connection with the case for interrogation. On interrogation, he confessed in detain of the horrible murder incident.
According to the confession, Selim came to the Jute Gowdown for his due payment to Faisal. At one stage, they locked into an altercation and murdered him. They buried the body in the godown to hide it.
