Dhaka, July 5 (UNB) – Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra were advised on Friday to hoist local cautionary signal number 3.
The Met Office, in a bulletin, said that steep pressure gradient lies over the North Bay.
“Under its influence, squally weather is likely to affect the maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh,” it said.
Fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay have been advised remain close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
