Islamic University, Oct 15 (UNB) – A training on ‘Food adulteration prevention and consumer rights’ was held on the university campus in Kushtia on Monday.
IU unit of Consumer Youth Bangladesh (CYB) organised the programme on the occasion of World Food Day-2018 at Birshrestha Hamidur Rahman Auditorium of the university.
IU Vice-Chancellor Professor, M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari addressed the programme as chief guest while Pro-VC Professor, M Shahinoor Rahman and Treasurer Professor M Selim Toha spoke as the special guests.
While addressing the programme, the speakers shed lights on the reason of food adulteration and discussed the ways to eliminate the problem.
Around two hundred teachers and students from different departments took part in the training.
